IIUM was invited to a meaningful dinner welcoming the Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, held around a Korean business forum in Ho Chi Minh City.

With Korean and Vietnamese guests of honour seated together, the menu needed to speak to both palates, and the drink had to strike a perfect balance without favouring either side. We served our sparkling takju well chilled, poured alongside each course as it moved between the two cuisines.

It became one of IIUM's most meaningful early tests, and the clearest, most direct proof of what our name truly means.
